Designer Lerato Bokaba loved fashion from a very young age, inspired in part by her stylish mother, a former model and actress. She delayed her dreams of being a fashion designer due to the concerns of her parents, but eventually her entrepenueriul spirit could no longer be denied and she started Sabali fashion house.
What corner of SA most oozes style, in your eyes?
Johannesburg oozes style. Joburgers are not afraid of taking time and making sure they look good.
Where do you find daily inspiration?
The hope for tomorrow that lies within. My faith.

Best career moment so far?
The birth of Sabali. It has not been an easy journey as I did not study fashion, but I am learning as I go along.
Any advice for tomorrow’s young designers?
Follow your passions. Work hard and never give up on yourself. It will soon pay off.
What item of apparel would you never go on holiday without?
My jeans. I am a jeans laid back kind of girl.
